VAT EPR EXPERTFrance

France EPR UIN registration for Amazon sellers

France issues one Unique Identifier, or UIN/IDU, for each EPR stream in which a producer is registered. Amazon sellers may need identifiers for the product itself, an embedded battery or electrical function, and its packaging. The correct set depends on the catalogue and how the goods enter France.

Select a plan

One annual service fee applies per EPR category and covers representation where required, registration and UIN/IDU administration, and the ongoing declaration service described for that category. Household packaging and paper uses the separate packaging price. Prices exclude VAT, eco-contributions and exceptional work outside the stated scope.

A producer not established in France that is subject to French EPR must generally appoint a mandataire established in France.

How we help

We match the Amazon legal entity to the producer role, classify the products and packaging, and compare an own-UIN route with any current marketplace option shown in the account. Where own registrations are selected, our standard routes use Léko for household packaging and graphic paper, Ecologic for EEE, Batribox for batteries and Refashion for TLC. We do not sell a one-size-fits-all UIN because each stream is separate.

What's included

  • Catalogue and packaging scope review
  • Producer registration by applicable EPR stream
  • UIN/IDU collection and entity matching
  • Marketplace evidence pack
  • Declaration calendar set up
  • Registration documents tracked in VAT EPR EXPERT FRANCE

A controlled path from review to evidence

  1. Screen the catalogue

Identify product and packaging streams from observable product facts.

  2. Confirm the producer entity

Match the entity placing products on the French market to the registration.

  3. Register and obtain identifiers

Complete each applicable producer onboarding and collect its UIN.

  4. Submit marketplace evidence

Package the identifiers by stream and retain the evidence for future checks.

Documents and source data

  • Amazon legal entity and French marketplace account
  • Product catalogue and technical descriptions
  • Battery, electrical and packaging details
  • Brand and producer-role evidence
  • Existing UINs or compliance records

Example: a battery-powered appliance sold with French packaging

The appliance, embedded battery and packaging are reviewed separately. Each applicable registration is tied to the same producer entity so the identifiers can be matched consistently in Amazon's compliance workflow.
