French EPR registration for household packaging and paper

Register household packaging and graphic paper in France through our Léko service. We review your scope, prepare onboarding, collect and verify the UIN/IDU, and organise the declaration evidence. Other packaging schemes and the wider professional-packaging perimeter are outside this service.

Select a plan

One annual service fee applies per EPR category and covers representation where required, registration and UIN/IDU administration, and the ongoing declaration service described for that category. Household packaging and paper uses the separate packaging price. Prices exclude VAT, eco-contributions and exceptional work outside the stated scope.

A producer not established in France that is subject to French EPR must generally appoint a mandataire established in France.

How we help

We confirm the household-packaging and graphic-paper perimeter, identify the producer entity, complete the Léko onboarding route we provide, obtain and verify the UIN/IDU, and set up the declaration evidence. This service does not include registration with other packaging schemes, and we do not treat the postponed wider professional-packaging rollout as already operative.

France's household-packaging and graphic-paper EPR stream covers household packaging around products, including relevant ecommerce shipping materials, and qualifying printed or printable paper. Product scope and the liable producer must be checked separately. Professional packaging follows a different perimeter and is not automatically covered by this service.

What's included

  • Household-packaging and graphic-paper scope review
  • Producer-entity and market-placement review
  • Léko registration and contract support
  • UIN/IDU collection and entity matching
  • Declaration data checklist and calendar
  • Registration, contribution and marketplace evidence stored in VAT EPR EXPERT FRANCE

A controlled path from review to evidence

  1. Separate household and professional packaging

Confirm the packaging destination and current perimeter instead of assuming every package follows the same stream.

  2. Identify the liable producer

Review who packs, imports, sells directly or causes the paper or packaging to be placed on the French market.

  3. Complete the Léko route

Prepare the entity, contract and onboarding evidence for the household-packaging and graphic-paper service we provide.

  4. Collect the IDU and set reporting

Match the identifier to the legal entity, record the declaration method and retain contribution evidence.

Documents and source data

  • Company registration and producer-entity details
  • French sales channels and activity start date
  • Product, parcel and transport-packaging list by material
  • Graphic-paper types and quantities, where applicable
  • Historic French volumes, declarations and identifiers, if any

Example: a foreign seller adds a parcel box and paper insert

The retail packaging, parcel box, filler and qualifying paper insert are mapped to the household-packaging and graphic-paper stream. The producer analysis then determines which entity must register and which quantities belong in the Léko declaration.

Frequently asked questions

The questions we hear most about this service. If yours is not here, ask us.

Packaging is rarely the only stream in a catalogue, and our EPR eligibility checker screens a product against every French stream, so you can see what else a registration will have to cover.
